The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World II has announced five more cast members, with Toshiyuki Morikawa joining as Abel Alferius. Tetsu Inada, Daiki Hamano, Yuki Wakai and Riona Imaizumi also join the fantasy anime, which is currently airing in Japan and streaming on Crunchyroll.

Nana Mikoshiba's original light novels began on Shosetsuka ni Naro in October 2019. Kodansha publishes the print edition under its Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint, with illustrations by Riko Korie. Ten volumes have been released in Japan. Kodansha USA publishes the manga adaptation, illustrated by Norihito Sasaki, in English.
Masahiro Takata directs the second season at Zero-G and also handles series composition and sound direction. Takata writes the scripts alongside Tomoko Shinozuka and Takahito Onishi. Mariko Kawamoto provides character designs and chief animation direction, while Tatsuhiko Saiki and Natsumi Tabuchi compose the music.
