    A Japan–India Production

The project was developed through a collaboration between TV Asahi and Sony Pictures Networks India. The series previously debuted on India’s SONY YAY! children’s channel in August 2025, with a total of 26 episodes.

Green Gold Animation handles the animation for Obocchama-kun REBORN, with production assistance from Shin-Ei Animation and Sony Pictures Networks India.

    About Obocchama-kun

Yoshinori Kobayashi serialized the original manga in Shogakukan’s Monthly CoroCoro Comic from May 1986 to September 1994. The series was collected in 24 volumes in Japan.

Shin-Ei Animation produced the earlier television adaptation, which aired in Japan from January 1989 to September 1992.

The comedy follows Chama Obo, the spoiled heir to an enormous corporation. After enrolling at an elite school for children from wealthy families, his foolish behavior and extravagant upbringing send everyday school life spiraling into outrageous situations.

Obocchama-kun REBORN will broadcast on TV Asahi in 2027. A specific premiere date has not been announced.
