ABOUT THE FILM
Mamoru Hosoda serves as both writer and director, continuing his legacy of emotionally resonant, genre-bending storytelling. Studio Chizu leads production and planning.
Scarlet follows a princess who awakens in the “Land of the Dead” after failing to avenge her father. With time running out, she must pursue her enemy to the mythical “No End Place” or become “Void” — lost forever in a world where memories fade and madness reigns.
The film will be released in U.S. theaters on December 12.
