A light anime adaptation has been announced for the digital fantasy josei manga Daikenja Riddle no Jikan Gyakko ("The Great Sage Riddle's Time Reversal"). The series will broadcast in Japan on Television Kanagawa beginning on April 1, 2026.

Shogakukan publishes the original Daikenja Riddle no Jikan Gyakko manga under their Seed Comics imprint. Neneko writes and Hajime Nitaka illustrates the series.

The Story

The story of the series follows Riddle, a hero who struggles against a mysterious, evil organization called the Box of Malice. Riddle persists in this struggle for a thousand years, losing his friends, his humanity and ultimately the rest of the world in the process.

At the brink of despair, Riddle manages to reverse time and travel into the past. Armed with a thousand years of knowledge and experience, he aims to defeat Box of Malice once and for all.
