Inherit the Winds Anime Announces Four More Cast Members

Inherit the Winds has announced four more cast members ahead of its January 2027 TV debut. The latest additions are:

• Nishiki Niimi: Daisuke Hirakawa
• Kisaburo Kawai: Toshiyuki Toyonaga
• Toshimaro Yoshida: Toshiki Kumagai
• Kyusai Momoyama: Kappei Yamaguchi

The anime draws from the first installment of the Jinsuke Tachikawa stage-play tetralogy, performed by theater group Caramel Box since 1996. Yutaka Narui and Azuki Mashiba wrote the stage stories.

Set during the upheaval surrounding the Meiji Restoration, Inherit the Winds follows fictional Shinsengumi soldier Jinsuke Tachikawa as he enters the conflict and confronts the aftermath of the Kinmon incident. Daisuke Sakuma voices Tachikawa.

Tomohiro Kawamura directs at Live2D Creative Studio and Drive Inc., with scripts by Yutaka Narui, character designs by Fumi Ebina and music by Shigeru Kishiba.

Before the January broadcast, the anime will receive a two-week theatrical preview run beginning November 13, 2026, in Japan.
