A new trailer for The Fledgling Demon Lord’s Starter Shop introduces the voices behind Villager, Mao, and Ash as they begin bringing life back to The Nest. The fantasy comedy is set to debut in January 2027.

Reiji Kawashima voices Villager, Rumi Okubo plays Mao, and Yohei Azakami voices Ash. All three characters also appear in the newly released key visual.

Jun Taira directs the anime at project No.9. Keiichiro Ochi, whose credits include Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!, handles series composition.

Katsuyuki Sato, known for Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!, provides the character designs, while Takuro Iga, whose work includes OSHI NO KO, composes the music.

Makoto Morishita’s original manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine in October 2021. Thirteen collected volumes have been published in Japan to date.

K Manga publishes the series digitally in English and describes the story:

Peace has arrived after the hero’s victory over the demon lord, but that is bad news for one small item shop. In Beginnerville, young Villager struggles to keep The Nest open now that adventurers no longer need its potions and supplies. With customers disappearing and the shop’s future looking bleak, the arrival of a mysterious girl offers an unexpected chance to start again.
