Season 1 was great, so I'm excited for July—the blend of action, comedy, and historical drama worked incredibly well. Yusei Matsui never disappoints with his series; from Assassination Classroom to this, he consistently delivers engaging stories. The historical setting is really compelling; exploring Japan's turbulent period through this lens makes for fascinating viewing. CloverWorks' animation quality should continue being excellent; Season 1's action sequences and character designs were top-tier.

The Elusive Samurai stage event at Jump Festa 2026 announced today a July 2026 broadcast for the anime's second season, while also unveiling a new visual that teases the arrival of Sasaki Mima. The second season was originally announced in October 2024.
