KyoAni's first wholly new anime is momentous—the beloved studio delivering an original work marks a significant milestone in their history. Steampunk early 1900s Kyoto sounds visually stunning; KyoAni depicting an alternate history where only steam engines advanced promises gorgeous backgrounds. Worldwide Netflix release shows global confidence; simultaneous worldwide premiere demonstrates belief in the series' international appeal. Age of Electricity vs steam engine premise is unique—siblings dreaming of electrical power in a steam-dominated world creates compelling alternative history.

A boy who lost his brother, with whom he had dreamed of the "Age of Electricity," and now lives with deep suspicion.
A girl who keeps her dreams for the future and her regrets for her deceased mother hidden in her heart, now living a devout life.
The boy and girl meet while seeking the secret of the "20th Century Electrical Catalog," which depicted their dreams.
Surpass who you are now and break through the dreams you once had!
