As the January 2026 premiere draws closer, Scum of the Brave continues expanding its cast. A new character trailer has just been released, revealing Harumi Momo (Sakurako in Me and the Alien MuMu) as the voice of Yukine Indo, a second-year student at the Hero Training Academy.

Yukine Indo is depicted as blunt, sharp-witted, and emotionally guarded. The trailer teases her no-nonsense demeanor and strong sense of justice, positioning her as a potential foil to both rookies and veterans within the academy.

Scum of the Brave is based on a light novel written by Rocket Shoukai, illustrated by Yuya Kusaka, and published by Fujimi Shobo under the Kadokawa Books imprint.

The series originated as a web novel on Kadokawa’s Kakuyomu platform. It was later adapted into a manga by Nakashima723, serialized in Comic Border from Leed Publishing, with an English version available on Manga Planet.

ABOUT THE WORLD OF SCUM OF THE BRAVE

Set in an alternate version of the 21st century, wealthy crime lords known as Demon Kings have emerged through a controversial medical procedure called ether-enhancement surgery.

To keep them in check, specialized bounty hunters called Braves are hired.

The story follows Yashiro, a laid-back man more interested in pizza and playing cards than world-saving missions. When three young Braves offer him a huge paycheck to become their private instructor, he agrees. But the job may come with more baggage than he signed up for.
