The anime adaptation of Romelia War Chronicle (Romelia Senki in Japan) has officially been confirmed for a 2026 broadcast, accompanied by its first teaser art and the launch of an official website and X (Twitter) account.

About the Original Series

Romelia War Chronicle began serialization online in August 2019 via Shosetsuka ni Naro. It was later picked up by Shogakukan’s Gagaga Books imprint, with six volumes currently in print. The story is written by Ryo Ariyama and illustrated by Kodama.

The series has also been adapted into a manga with art by Ryo Kamito, which is available in English from Seven Seas Entertainment.

Story Summary

After her journey to defeat the Demon King ends in betrayal, Romelia is cast aside by her fiancé and sent home disgraced.

Though she lacked magical strength, Rome gained tactical skills during her travels—skills in negotiation, finance, logistics, and intelligence.

With the kingdom still fragile after war and enemy remnants still at large, Rome builds her own army to protect her province and her people.

She will lead—brilliantly, and ruthlessly if she must.
