The upcoming anime adaptation of Saenal and Monohumbug’s Overgeared has released a new character trailer introducing its protagonist, Youngwoo Shin, better known in-game as Grid.

As previously announced, Grid is voiced by Tatsumaru Tachibana.

The series will begin streaming early on Prime Video in Japan on September 27, ahead of its television broadcast premiere on October 2. Crunchyroll will also stream Overgeared worldwide as it airs.

The new character trailer puts the spotlight on Grid, offering a closer look at the struggling gamer whose fortunes change dramatically after obtaining the power of a legendary blacksmith.

Ayako Kono, whose credits include Sword Art Online The Movie - Progressive, directs the anime at J.C.STAFF.

The currently announced staff includes:

• Character Designs: Ryosuke Tanigawa

• Music: Yoshiaki Fujisawa

Ihara’s credits include Sentenced to Be a Hero, while Tanigawa worked on DEMON LORD 2099. Fujisawa is also known for composing music for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.
