An official website and X (formerly Twitter) account opened today revealing that a TV anime adaptation of Umikaze Minamino, JISHAKU and Katana Canata's Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden light novel series is in production for a planned October 2026 broadcast. It's the second work of Minamino's to be adapted, following this season's Kunon the Sorcerer Can See.

The announcement came with a teaser trailer and visual, along with cast and production staff details.
