The series centers on Luna, a black witch who lives alone deep in the Black Forest. She is called the "Mushroom Witch" because poisonous mushrooms sprout wherever she touches, talks, or walks. Feared and shunned by the kingdom (which is ruled by white witches), Luna secretly longs to live among the humans.
