Kingdom continuing immediately is perfect—announcing the second cour right after what seemed like the finale keeps momentum strong. The battle-scarred visual looks intense; Bajio and Yang Duan He's worn appearances promise brutal conflicts ahead. Kingdom deserves to be fully adapted—Yasuhisa Hara's epic warring states manga has earned complete anime treatment. Second cours for long-running series are always welcome; split-cour formats give production teams breathing room while keeping fans engaged.
The Kingdom aired its final episode of the sixth season today...or so we initially thought! After the premiere of Episode 13 in Japan, the series' official accounts announced that a "sequel" to Season 6 is currently in production. Noboru Takagi, who has been in charge of series composition since Kingdom Season 3, confirmed that it is a second cour to Season 6.
