Kaiju Girl Caramelise Anime Announced for 2026 with Cast and Trailer

The kaiju transformation rom-com premise is wild—combining romantic comedy with monster transformations is such a creative concept. Turning into a kaiju when you fall in love is hilarious; the physical manifestation of romantic feelings as giant monster form is comedy gold. The character designs look really appealing; the clean, expressive style works well for both comedy and romance. Rom-com with a supernatural twist sounds fun; adding the kaiju element gives it a unique hook beyond typical school romance.

Spica Aoki's romantic comedy/science fiction manga Kaiju Girl Caramelise revealed today the series is being adapted into a TV anime that will broadcast in Japan on Tokyo Broadcasting System and BS11 in 2026.
