The first cour was great, so I'm excited for more. Nube is a classic that deserves this reboot—it's been too long since we've had a proper adaptation of this series. Occult school anime have such a unique vibe that balances horror, action, and heartwarming teacher-student moments perfectly.
The official website for the Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube reboot anime released a key visual for the upcoming second cour today. The reboot anime's first 13-episode cour aired in Japan from July to September 2025, with the second set to premiere on January 7, 2026.
Theme Song Artists Announced
Opening Theme: "ERASE" by THE ORAL CIGARETTES
The four-piece Japanese rock band was formed in 2010 and previously provided theme songs for Noragami Aragoto (2015), revisions (2019), Scarlet Nexus (2021), and TOUGEN ANKI (2025).
THE ORAL CIGARETTES Statement: "It's a true honour to have created the opening theme for Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube, a series I've been watching since childhood. The world of Nube shares a lot of similarities with our own musical world, so we were able to approach the song head-on and honestly. Just as Nube saves his students from the darkness, I believe music exists to help people through the darkness they can't escape alone. That feeling is poured into this song—so please enjoy it alongside the series!"
Ending Theme: "MAGICAL" by Ayumu Imazu
Singer-songwriter Ayumu Imazu started dancing at age six and studied in New York from age 14 for approximately three and a half years. His activities are now based in both the USA and Japan. This is his third anime tie-in song, following "Stranger" for Scarlet Nexus (2021) and "HOWL" for Let's Go Karaoke! (2025).
Ayumu Imazu Statement: "I'm truly honoured to have written the ending theme for Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube. With this beloved Heisei-era series returning in the Reiwa era, I crafted 'MAGICAL' to carry a nostalgic, city-pop-inspired sound that also feels warm and familiar. I hope it resonates with both longtime fans and new audiences alike!"
