A brand-new trailer was released for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 today, revealing and previewing the sequel's opening theme song, "lulu." by Mrs. GREEN APPLE (The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 OP2). Kazuhiko Inoue (Yoriichi in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) was also announced as the voice of the Hero of the South.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 begins airing on January 16, 2026, with Crunchyroll to stream soon after.

Tomoya Kitagawa takes over as director for Season 2.
