    About the Manga

Dandelion was submitted to Shueisha's Tenkaichi Manga Award in 2002 and earned an honorable mention. The one-shot was published in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump before being included in the first volume of the Gintama manga.

    The Story

    Netflix describes the story:

Dandelion follows Tetsuo Tanba and Misaki Kurogane, members of the Japanese Angel Federation's Send-Off Department. Their job? Tracking down restless earthbound spirits and gently guiding them to the afterlife.

While other angels rush to close their cases, the 21st Division's Dandelion Clan takes a different approach. Dandelion members Tetsuo Tanba and his leader, Misaki Kurogane, listen to each spirit's regrets and help them resolve what's holding them back. They even help a spirit who's an elderly man running at full speed, desperate to escape.

The angels themselves are full of surprises. Tanba's permanent scowl and sharp tongue mask a deeply compassionate nature, while Kurogane is a formidable force — despite her girlish appearance. She's rumored to have laid to rest the legendary soul of Musashi Miyamoto.
