The second season of the supernatural action anime Chained Soldier is charging toward its debut. Ahead of the January 8, 2026 premiere in Japan, a dramatic new key visual was released — this time spotlighting the series’ powerful commanders in full formation.

A COMMANDING PRESENCE

The new visual features returning fan-favorites from the Demon Defense Force, including Kyouka Uzen and the rest of the high-ranking squad leaders — signaling heightened conflict and more layered political drama in the episodes to come.

THE TEAM BEHIND SEASON 2

Season 2 is directed by Masafumi Tamura (The World’s Finest Assassin) at studios Passione and Hayabusa Film. The creative team includes:

THE ORIGINAL STORY

The anime is adapted from the Chained Soldier manga by Takahiro (Akame ga Kill!) and illustrated by Yohei Takamura, serialized in Shonen Jump+ and published in English by Yen Press.

Yen Press describes the plot as:
Decades ago, mysterious gates to a demonic realm known as “Mato” appeared across Japan. Within these zones, magical peaches grow — but only girls can wield their power.

Yuuki Wakura, a down-on-his-luck high schooler, stumbles into a gate and is rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the formidable commander of the Demon Defense Force’s 7th squad. Her price for saving him? Become her servant — in battle and beyond.
