The cast of An Adventurer’s Daily Grind at Age 29 just got bigger. The anime adaptation announced two additional characters ahead of its January 2026 premiere in Japan. The fantasy series, based on the manga by Ippei Nara, will also be streamed on Crunchyroll.
The new cast members include:

The pair add a new dynamic to the world around protagonist Hajime, who has traded his dangerous adventuring youth for a quiet life in Komai Village. Whether they bring conflict or community, their arrival signals more changes ahead.

ABOUT THE SERIES
The manga has been serialized by Kodansha in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since 2016, with 20 volumes published to date. The TV adaptation is helmed by Riki Fukushima at HORNETS, with character design by Yoshihiro Nagamori and music from Akinari Suzuki, Johannes Nilsson, and Manami Takamoto (Team-MAX).

Orphaned and raised in the slums, Hajime Shinonome became strong to survive. Now living peacefully as a village adventurer, his world shifts when he finds a young girl, Lirui, nearly consumed by a slime in a dungeon. With nowhere to go, she joins Hajime back in the village, where a new life begins for them both.
