Walking Home with You has unveiled new teaser art ahead of its April 2027 broadcast in Japan. Manga creator Mai Matsuda also shared a celebratory illustration for the upcoming adaptation.

The anime was first announced in March 2025. Cast and production staff have yet to be revealed.

Matsuda began serializing the manga in Futabasha’s Manga Action in August 2023. Six volumes are available in Japan, with the seventh scheduled to arrive on October 8.

Omoi publishes the series in English. Its story description introduces Shun and Naoki’s after-school adventures:

An injury ended Shun’s dreams of soccer stardom, leaving him unsure what to do with his high school life. Then he meets Naoki, an eccentric upperclassman who recruits him into her unofficial “Hyper-Epic Heading Home Club.” Its mission is simple: make the journey home an adventure. Following her through unexpected detours and little discoveries, Shun begins to find something worth looking forward to again.
