Kota Kawae’s manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2023 and has 16 collected volumes in Japan. It ranked first in AnimeJapan’s 2025 “Manga We Want to See Animated” poll.
VIZ Media publishes the manga in English and describes its story:
Gakuro Yajima wants nothing more than a peaceful life away from the spirits he can see. That hope becomes harder to hold onto when he wanders into a sealed room and encounters Nue, an unusual spirit who wants his help dealing with the dangerous entities at his school. Gakuro hesitates, but the threats around him leave little time to decide whether he is ready to fight.
