Yen Press publishes the novels in English and describes the story:
Miyo Saimori grows up serving an abusive family that looks down on her lack of supernatural abilities. An arranged engagement offers little comfort when she learns her fiancé is Kiyoka Kudou, a commander whose fearsome reputation has driven away his previous prospective brides. With nowhere else to go, Miyo prepares for the worst. Instead, she begins to discover a gentler man behind the rumors, and their uncertain engagement slowly becomes a chance for both of them to find love.
