About Black Clover

Yuki Tabata launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015 before moving to Jump Giga in December 2023. Serialization concluded in May 2026, with 38 collected volumes released in Japan.

The original television adaptation, directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara at Pierrot, aired from October 2017 to March 2021 for 170 episodes. The film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King premiered in June 2023.

Studio Echo describes the story:

In a world where magic shapes nearly every part of life, Asta is born without any magical power. That does little to weaken his dream of becoming the Wizard King. Armed with a mysterious grimoire and swords that can cancel magic, he joins the unruly Black Bulls and pushes forward alongside his gifted rival, Yuno. Through fierce battles and unlikely friendships, Asta sets out to prove that determination can challenge even the strongest spell.
